Halcyon Interiors Co. is a full service Interior Architecture & Design studio driven by the belief that good design is not just aesthetically pleasing but is essential to our well-being. We serve clients in the Northern VA, Metro DC area and throughout the country.
Our studio is built on the belief that design impacts the way we move through the world and favor homes that provide warmth and comfort and are a reprieve from the pressures of everyday life. We hope to leave each client with elevated spaces that will be the backdrop to life’s moments and memories.

Shayla firmly believes in the emotional and psychological benefit of having a beautiful home and the deep value in loving where you live. She believes that home should be a sanctuary and strives to create a sense of quiet calm in all of her designs.
Inspired by classic European modernism her spaces lend an air of sophistication while remaining warm, easeful, and wholly livable. She believes in respecting the architecture of each space and the aesthetic of each client to create spaces that are unique to each project rather than speaking to one specific style.
Prior to launching Halcyon Interiors Co. Shayla worked as a designer for a national Fortune 500 Luxury Home Builder and as the lead designer for a Design Build firm specializing in high-end luxury Custom Home Builds and Renovations.
Shayla’s innate ability to see a home’s potential and her intimate understanding of the design and construction process, results in projects that are efficiently managed and thoughtfully executed to ensure that no design detail is left unturned.
