Project Overview

These clients reached out to us shortly after moving into their newly built production home. Our mission was to transform the space from builder basic to truly bespoke by incorporating custom architectural details—ceiling beams, wall treatments, and millwork that added depth and character throughout the main and lower floors.

Nestled against a backdrop of lush woods, the home enjoys stunning views of greenery from nearly every window. The ever-changing natural light, filtered through the surrounding trees, played a key role in shaping our design direction. We curated a color palette that balances warmth and brightness, enhancing the home’s connection to its natural environment.

The homeowners—a Moroccan husband and a Vietnamese wife—share the home with their two young sons. Our design approach was to create a space that subtly reflects their cultural backgrounds while remaining approachable, layered, and family-friendly.

The result is a home that feels both globally inspired and deeply personal, blending craftsmanship, comfort, and cultural nuance.

An Inviting Entry Foyer

Millwork & Lighting Details

The understated millwork, highlighted in a contrasting paint color, brings refined visual interest to the 20-foot long entry foyer. Brass sconces cast a warm, inviting glow, while the pairing of a plush camel velvet daybed on one side and a rich wood console on the other creates a harmonious balance. Together, these elements evoke a deep sense of welcome and homeliness, setting the tone for the rest of the space.

The result is an Entry Foyer that warmly embraces everyone who enters the home.

A Warm & Layered Living Room

Layered Warmth & Visual Depth

Adding the wood ceiling beams brought much-needed warmth and character to the Living Room of this new build home.

Nestled among trees, the home receives soft, dappled natural light, so a palette of cream fabrics was chosen for the sofa and swivel chairs to help reflect and amplify the light. To anchor the space, a large area rug with a beautiful pattern and warm tones grounds the room and adds visual depth.

A solid wood coffee table in natural warm white oak serves as the centerpiece, complemented by a dark wood console and side table, a rich brown leather chair, and two plush ottomans in deep marigold fabric. Layers of textiles, art, and decor complete the look, adding texture and personality.

The result is a cozy, layered, and and inviting — a true reflection of the homeowners and a room that embraces you like a warm hug.

Casual Yet Formal Dining Room

Casual Comfort with Refined Elegance

The Dining Room, open to both the Kitchen and Living Room, was designed to balance casual comfort with refined elegance. As the home’s only dining area, it needed to serve as a welcoming space for everyday family meals while also feeling special enough for holidays and formal gatherings.

A poorly built, asymmetrical drywall bench was removed to improve the room’s layout and flow. To emphasize the cathedral ceiling, shiplap was added and painted in the same contrasting color featured in the Entry Foyer, creating visual continuity and architectural interest.

A large, extendable solid wood dining table anchors the space, offering generous seating for guests. Black leather chairs provide durability and easy maintenance for daily use, while the boucle head chairs introduce softness, texture, and a refined touch.

The result is simple yet striking—an inviting dining room that feels both relaxed and elevated, perfectly suited for any occasion.

A Cozy & Comfortable Rec Room

Green & Oak Custom Media Built-In

A custom-designed media wall anchors the space, featuring warm white oak cabinetry and deep green shiplap that perfectly complements the large U-shaped sectional upholstered in a plush, family-friendly performance fabric. The inviting layout is completed with a generous leather ottoman, a luxuriously soft rug showcasing a subtle grid pattern, and a curated mix of textiles, artwork, and décor that bring depth and texture to the room.

The result is an approachable, stylish rec room designed for comfort, connection, and everyday family living.

A Small But Mighty Wet Bar

A Small Thoughtful Wet Bar with Optimal Function

We didn’t have a lot of room for the wet bar, but that didn’t mean it couldn’t have everything the family wanted. With a thoughtful layout, we managed to include a microwave, beverage fridge, sink, and trash pullout — all the essentials in a compact space.

The result is is a beautiful, functional wet bar that’s perfect for fun family hangouts and effortless entertaining.

“Shayla! It was incredible coming home to our perfectly curated home.
Everything is so beautiful, welcoming and relaxing.”
